Product Information

Rishiri Kombu is harvested around Rishiri Island, Hokkaido.
The ground of Rishiri Island, made by volcano's ashes, absorb the rainfall and pour it into the sea.
The coastal area where the Konbu is harvested, rich in salt, give us a saltier Kombu.
Rishiri Kombu is mainly used in Osaka district and is served in dishes with delicate umami flavour.
Best for Udon and other noodle soup, boiled tofu, hot pot dishes and more.

Preparing Dashi
Use 15cm long Kombu for 1 litre of water.
Combine Kombu with Niboshi to get a more intense flavour.
